Swatosh filed a lawsuit against Laclede Gas for race discrimination and retaliation.

Prior to his termination, Plaintiff worked for Laclede Gas for nearly 15 years.  During this long tenure Plaintiff was an excellent employee with an unblemished work record.  However, a few months prior to his termination, Plaintiff reported to Laclede Gas’ Attorney that he believed there was a long history of discriminatory treatment against African American employees.  Plaintiff claimed that African Americans are segregated and forced to work in high crime areas, were not promoted and were disciplined differently (worse) than Caucasian employees. After complaining of the racial issues, Plaintiff was suspended and later terminated.

The lawsuit is filed in the City of St. Louis, 22nd Judicial Circuit Court, Case No. 1722-CC10708.
